RULES AND REGULATIONS
DRESS: Proper class attire is to be worn at all times. Names should be marked in all dance clothing, street clothing and shoes. Ballet shoes expecially tend to get mixed up, so take extra care in marking them. LOST PROPERTY: The studio cannot be responsible for personal property left behind. ENTRANCE: On occasion the door to the outer lobby may be locked. Please use the doorbell on the outside of the building and wait for someone to open the door. We request that all students wait for pick up in the dressing room or downstairs lobby area. Please note that the elevator does not access the studio. You must use the stairs. Children should not use the elevator or stairs to access any other part of the building. ATTENDANCE & PUNCTUALITY: Classes are commenced and dismissed on time. Please be punctual to avoid disruption of class. Parents are asked to arrage prompt pick up of children after class. Students are required to attend classes regularly. Fees will not be refunded for classes missed. We request that you please phone the studio if your child will be absent. GROOMING: Students must be neatly dressed for all classes, with hair securely pinned off face and neck. Hair must be in a bun for all ballet classes. Please provide your child with supplies such as hair nets, bobby pins, elastics and deodorant. EXAMINATIONS: Students will be entered for various examinations at the discretion of the teacher. NOTICES: Parents will be informed of any changes in the schedule and other important matters by written notice given to each student. Notices will also be posted on the bulletin board and on the website. PARENT VIEWING: Parent viewing is once a year, usually after Winter Break. Parents and siblings only are invited due to space restrictions. ENQUIRIES: For information regarding a student's progress or other pertinent matters, please call the studio (255-8699). REFUNDS: There will be no refunds for lessons not taken, except in the event of a prolonged illness, injury or moving away. For withdrawal from the studio, written notice must be provided one month in advance. No refunds will be given after January 31, 2009. COMPETITION: Students will be receiving their participation notices late September or early October. Please note that students must be enrolled in ballet if they wish to participate. RECITAL: A school recital is held every other year. This year there will be a competitive recital, held at the University of Calgary Theatre. |
